On truck for delivery
Yay!! my cell phone is on the FedEx truck, in transit for delivery!! It's been a long weekend, I ordered the phone on Friday it has free overnight shipping. Too bad I didn't get it ordered on last Thursday..

A light
I think I see a light again
Other times it was just false alarms
Is that a train?
A bus?
Lightning?
The light gets me feeling hopeful
I've been walking on this trail for so long
It doesn't matter that the trail is in a tunnel
I've been doing the things I was supposed to do
Initially it didn't work out the way I thought it would
Up a hill
Down a hill
I'm tired
Where lies the way out of this nightmare

Musings August 10...
Driving through the MtVernon/Burlington area, this one person cuts us off and it turns out they are going the same way we are.. Ultimate destination for us...
I dropped $150 in Costco on groceries... and the boys are ungrateful twerps... wanting me to buy candy, soda, and toys.

Broken Ankle Woes
I broke my left ankle on April 18, 2011. I had fallen down the stairs in my townhouse apartment and landed on the ankle. Ouch... it hurt quite a bit. There was much confusion in the beginning about whether it was sprained or indeed broken (fractured). There wasn't all the bruising that is normally associated with a break, so my friend said she thought it was just sprained. That night I went to the ER and had it x-rayed. It WAS (IS) broken, they put me in a half cast/splint and sent me home with the referral to the orthopedic surgeon. I call in the morning, got foot put in a cast from just below my knee to my toes on my left foot, with orders not to put my full weight on the foot for at least a month. I see the surgeon in May.

Damaged Goods
Used, abused, and thrown away.
I give and give, but it's all in vain.
No one wants to look beyond the dented and scarred exterior.
Though within a loving, giving heart still beats.
Used for carnal desires, though I'm good for so much more.
Look beyond the slightly damaged exterior.
The scars are only reminders of what I've been through.
But they do not mean I'm worth less than my true worth as a human being.
